J grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He is a well versed Poet and a single father of 7 beautiful children. At the tender age of 4 he was featured in a Kansas City Publication where he published his first original poem. J’s poems are drawn from his struggles and profound experiences while growing up in Kansas City.

J. attended Missouri Western University and Carver Bible College. While in college he performed all over Missouri and was featured as a poet at various open mic events, poetry slams and college talent shows. J is also a mentor who believes in supporting the youth and providing outreach to his local community. He was featured in “Who’s Who “ publication of 2022 for his community outreach.

J has aspirations to start the first black owned self publishing company entitled “Blessings That Prosper Publishing” (BTPP). Blessings That Prosper Publishing will provide opportunities for inspiring authors,artist,voice actors,editors,writers, illustrators and more at an affordable price.

Additionally, J intends to publish ebooks via BTTP which will be distributed on all streaming platforms via empire records. Merging hip hop and poetry communities in an effort to bring together various art forms. J is a God fearing man who has traveled a hard road. God has instilled in him a passion to help make that road smoother for others.

Tyi’shon C is a 13 year old Poet/ Author from Kansas City, Mo . Tyi’shon wrote and published her first book titled “What’s This Preteen Shi*t” at the tender age of 12. “What’s This Preteen Sh*t” has received stellar reviews worldwide.

Tyi’shon has audiences everywhere intrigued and captivated by her unapologetic explosive writing style at such a young age. Tyi’shon is an Honor Student and leader in her church & community. She serves as chief Executive Officer on “Youth Empowerment Initiative” a nonprofit organization while serving in several youth empowerment organizations.

In Tyi’shon spare time she does outreach community service at the Salvation Army of greater Kansas City. Tyi’shon has hopes of one day pursing a career in politics where she will be able to make real change in the world.

Tyree Colbert is A 16year old poet/author/ advocate from Kansas City, Mo. Tyree published his first book “same window 2 different views” at the age of 16. Same window 2 different views has gained Tyree national and international recognition.

Same window 2 different views earned the #2 spot on Amazon top 100 for teen poetry. Tyree has a written guest editor piece in the Sunday release of the “Kansas City Star “. Colbert has been featured on several podcast /blogs one of which is the “KCdefender”!

Tyree’s gritty writing of his experiences growing up in Kansas City aims to inspire other people to persevere and follow their dreams as well.

Tyree is a member of many youth groups with objective of making changes in their communities. Tyree wants to one day make a change in the world by helping others.
